‘Chelsea will get him’… Micah Richards thinks £112m player will join the Blues, not Arsenal

Micah Richards has claimed that he thinks Victor Osimhen will join Chelsea instead of Arsenal in the summer.

The two London clubs are in need of a new striker, and Osimhen is probably the one they would both like to sign. However, only one side can get him, and Richards believes it will be Chelsea.

Micah Richards thinks Victor Osimhen will join Chelsea, not Arsenal

Victor Osimhen is arguably the best striker in the world right now apart from Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe.

The Nigeria international has everything in his game. He’s strong, fast, good in the air, and is a proven goalscorer who converts his chances.

Arsenal and Chelsea both desperately need a prolific striker, and Osimhen, in our opinion, would be an incredible option for both clubs.

Gary Lineker claimed he would join Arsenal if he was in Osimhen’s shoes. Micah Richards, however, thinks the Nigerian will end up at Stamford Bridge in the summer.

He said on The Rest is Football podcast: “Something in my mind says Chelsea. I don’t know why, but I think Chelsea. Because they’re the most desperate for a striker.

“I think Arsenal would love to have him, but they still see Jesus as a number nine and they’ve got Nketiah.

“I think Chelsea will do more business. There’s something, I don’t know why, but I just think Chelsea will get him.”

Osimhen will cost a fortune

It is almost certain now that Victor Osimhen will leave Napoli this summer – he has said so himself.

The Nigerian will have some of the biggest clubs in the world chasing him, and we’re sure Arsenal and Chelsea will both be in the picture.

As for how much he’ll cost, his release clause has been set and stands at an eye-watering £112 million (Standard).

Chelsea can’t blow Arsenal out of the water by offering more money to Napoli, but they could lure Osimhen in by paying him a fortune in salary.

As big as Arsenal’s wage bill is, we don’t think they will be able to compete if Chelsea offer him crazy money.
