Arsenal have been heavily linked with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen in recent months.
For instance, Italian journalist Ciro Venerato said in December that the Gunners have touched base over potentially signing Osimhen.
Now, the Nigeria international has provided an update on his future amid all the speculation linking him with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.
Osimhen recently signed a new contract at Napoli with a reported £113million release clause, but this hasn’t stopped speculation from doing the rounds.
Speaking to CBS Sports – as transcribed by Goal.com – Osimhen said: “I have already made my decision on the next step to do at the end of the season.

“I already made up my mind. I already have my plan, I know what I want to do, the next step I want to take.”
Asked about the prospect of a move to England, he replied: “I think 60% of the people mention the rumours about me linked with the Premier League.
“The Premier League is one of the biggest leagues in the world.
“I want to finish the season with Napoli strong then come up with the decision I’ve already made.”
Arsenal will hope Victor Osimhen will seek move away in summer – TBR View
This is certainly an intriguing update from Osimhen, and Arsenal fans – indeed, fans of any of the player’s suitors – will be hoping he was alluding to them. Hard to say at present though.
Osimhen certainly ticks all the boxes for the Gunners. He is quick, direct, yet to enter his prime, and completely different to anything they have in the squad at the moment.
He has registered 67 goals and 17 assists from 119 appearances for Napoli, and spearheaded their run to the Scudetto last season, with 26 goals in just 32 Serie A games.
Football agent Andrea D’Amico told Radio24 last year, as per Goal.com: “He certainly won’t lack options, especially in England and Paris Saint-Germain.
“At the moment, Osimhen is the best striker in the world. Yes, even better than Haaland!”
Obviously this isn’t one for the January transfer window, but in summer, speculation will probably reach fever pitch for the player.
