Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Brighton & Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson.
The 19-year-old Republic of Ireland international is regarded as one of the most exciting prospects in the Premier League after emerging as the Seagulls spearhead in Roberto De Zerbi’s attack.
And Ferguson’s form has attracted quite a lot of interest, with the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham all being linked with the wonderkid, with Ian Wright even urging the Gunners to move for the striker.

Now, according to the Evening Standard, Chelsea have entered the race for Ferguson, with the Blues viewing the Brighton youngster as a long-term solution to their attacking problems.
Lauded by Alan Shearer as a ‘really special talent’, it’s no real surprise why Chelsea could now target Ferguson with Mauricio Pochettino’s side in the market for a striker.
However, as per the report, Brighton are in no position to sell the Irish international, especially after selling Moises Caicedo to Chelsea last summer for a British record transfer fee.
Evan Ferguson could be a dream signing for Chelsea

Whilst Brighton might take some convincing to sell yet another prized player to Chelsea, there’s no denying that Ferguson could be a dream fit for the Blues.
At 19, the Seagulls forward is proving that he could have a massive future in the Premier League if he continues at his current development, one that could explode at Chelsea under Pochettino.
Although Brighton are well within their right to reject any and all approaches from the Blues for Ferguson, this could be another transfer battle that Chelsea can win through sheer force and determination.
Moreover, Ferguson himself could be open to the idea of joining a club like Chelsea, even if Brighton are on a more exciting and clearer path than the west London side.
