Chelsea are looking to muscle in on the action with just a day to go until the window opens with a move for Jean-Clair Todibo.
The French international is a wanted man this January after doing well for Nice recently.
The former Barcelona man is wanted by clubs in England, who are looking to strengthen in January ahead of a busy second half of the season.
Tottenham are interested in Todibo and have even opened talks over a move. Manchester United like the Frenchman as well, while Liverpool have also had a mention as well.
However, according to Football.London, it is now Chelsea who are looking to swoop in and do business to get a deal for Todibo over the line.
Chelsea trying to beat Tottenham to Todibo signing
We’re not even into the window yet and already we are seeing Chelsea trying to pip one of their rivals to a signing.
We saw this last year with the likes of Mudryk, Caicedo and Lavia and it looks like we might be in for more of the same in January 2024.

Chelsea obviously feel they still have some unfinished business in the market despite spending nigh on a billion pounds since Todd Boehly and co took over.
Todibo, of course, is a player who is courted by many and for good reason. Still only 23, Todibo already has bags of experience under his belt and has played well for Nice for a while now.
Chelsea have had some bad luck with some of their defensive signings, namely Wesley Fofana, who has not managed to stay fit since a mega money move.
The Blues will need to find around £40m to sign Todibo and at the same time, beat off other clubs who want him.
But Chelsea know how to get deals done as we’ve seen before and now this link is here, it’s definitely going to be one to watch in January.
