Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea are interested in signing Alexander Isak from Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United.
That is according to Football Transfers, which has noted Newcastle’s stance on Isak.
So, what has been reported about Chelsea, Newcastle United and Alexander Isak? Let’s take a look.
Chelsea linked with Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak
Well, according to Football Transfers, Chelsea are interested in signing Alexander Isak from Premier League rivals Newcastle United in the January transfer window.
We know that Chelsea are on the hunt for a new striker, and it seems that one of the players the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are looking at is Isak.

Football Transfers has claimed that Chelsea “have mulled over” making a move for the Sweden international striker.
Newcastle, though, do not want to sell the 24-year-old. The Magpies, who played in the UEFA Champions League, consider the forward “unsellable” in the January transfer window. Arsenal have also been linked with Isak.
My View: Alexander Isak would be a good signing for Chelsea
In my opinion, Alexander Isak would be a good signing for Chelsea. I believe that the 24-year-old could be perfect for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
I do not think that Newcastle will sell Isak in the January transfer window. After all, the Sweden international is one of the best and most important players in Eddie Howe’s side, who are in the race for a UEFA Champions League spot in the Premier League table this season.
However, a transfer in the summer of 2024 could well happen. Isak is 24 now. His best years are ahead of him, so that could appeal to Chelsea.
The forward can play as a central striker or part of a front-two. That ability would certainly to appeal to any manager, including Pochettino.
Moreover, Isak has done well in the Premier League for Newcastle. The forward has scored 19 goals and given one assist in 37 league matches for the Magpies so far in his career.
