Sources keep saying £43m player is Chelsea’s top transfer target

Chelsea need a new striker soon.

The Blues are struggling massively when it comes to putting the ball in the net, and that’s largely down to the fact they don’t have a prolific number nine.

Nicolas Jackson is so wasteful, while Armando Broja also struggles when it comes to being clinical.

So, who will Chelsea go for? Well, there have been links to Evan Ferguson over the past 24 hours, but speaking on the Ranks FC Podcast, Dean Jones has stated that he keeps hearing that Victor Osimhen is actually Chelsea’s prime striking target.

Osimhen Chelsea’s top target

Jones shared what he knows about the £43m player.

“Personally if you’re going to spend that sort of money I’d still go for Victor Osimhen and all of the indications I have at the moment are that Osimhen is the prime target for Chelsea if they are to sign an elite nine, that seems to be something they are looking to at the moment,” Jones said.

Perfect

It’s not surprising at all to hear that Osimhen is Chelsea’s top target. After all, he’d solve so many of the Blues’ problems.

The Nigerian is exactly what Chelsea need. He’s a real attacking force who can they can trust to lead the line well and find the net when chances are presented to him.

Osimhen hasn’t played in the Premier League yet, but his combination of speed and skill make him seem like the perfect player for English football.

Of course, convincing Osimhen to make this move may be easier said than done.

Chelsea aren’t exactly in the best of spots right now, and a striker like Osimhen who has the world at his feet may not be keen to join what is, with all due respect, a mid-table Premier League side at the moment.

This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on as we head into the summer.
