Noni Madueke had a tough first half in Chelsea’s first game at the FIFA Club World Cup, and his performance has supporters talking.
The Blues took the lead at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium through Pedro Neto after he showed great composure inside the penalty area to slot home from close range.
Enzo Maresca’s side struggled to really get going in the first 45 minutes against the team sitting fifth in the MLS Western Conference.
Chelsea fans started to get sick of watching their attack struggle against LAFC’s back line and have called for their owners to make one deal happen as soon as the transfer window reopens.

Chelsea fans want Jamie Gittens to replace Noni Madueke

The West London club attempted to sign the Borussia Dortmund forward just before the FIFA World Cup commenced; however, they couldn’t get the deal over the line.

But regardless of who it is, the Blues’ supporters feel that they will desperately need to reinforce their attack after watching Madueke’s display.
During the match, Chelsea fans took to X to share their frustration towards the 23-year-old and called for Gittens to be signed as soon as possible.
One fan said: “Bring me Gittens and Fofana, I can’t watch Madueke for another season, I’m sorry.”
“Less than 20 minutes in, and I can now see why we wanted Gittens instead of Noni Madueke. He’s been shocking this game.”
There was yet more frustration aimed towards Madueke’s performance: “Noni Madueke is Borussia Dortmund’s best ally in negotiations with Chelsea for Jamie Gittens.”
Finally, another supporter added: “How can these directors watch Noni and not splash the cash on Gittens… I’m so sick of watching him play in Chelsea’s attack.”

Speaking to DAZN, Obi Mikel said: “I’ve been kind of frustrated with him. He’s had the ball, he hasn’t gone past his man… He needs to clean that up.”

He also managed to lose the ball on seven occasions throughout the first 45 minutes.
