TBR Football understands that Chelsea’s owners BlueCo have agreed a deal to land a highly-rated Lyon prospect.

Chelsea are showing no signs of slowing down in the transfer market and their owners have now struck an agreement for another summer signing.

The Blues are working on a number of sales as we approach the final few days of the summer window, with Conor Gallagher closing in on a move to Atletico Madrid. The future of Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell is also in doubt after they were left out of Enzo Maresca‘s squad for their Premier League opener.

This time, however, Chelsea’s owners BlueCo have dipped back into the market to strike a deal for their sister team Strasbourg.

Highly-rated Lyon prospect Mamadou Sarr is set to sign for the Ligue 1 club, which is owned by BlueCo.

TBR Football understands that a deal has now been agreed at around £10million for the 18-year-old, who is a French youth international.

Being a scout for Chelsea must be one of the busiest jobs in world football at the moment.

TBR Football is told that Sarr was scouted heavily by Chelsea and they recommended his signing to Strasbourg.

They have now followed up on the scouting reports and have decided to strike a deal for the young defender.

Sarr is set to join the growing list of exciting youngsters on the books of BlueCo.

Could Mamadou Sarr end up at Chelsea?

With Sarr set to join Strasbourg, the youngster now has a clear pathway to joining Chelsea in the future if he impresses.

Sarr is set to remain in France and work under Liam Rosenior, but Chelsea will be keeping a keen eye on his progress.

Sarr has been on the fringes of Lyon’s first team and spent the second half of last season on loan at Belgian side RWD Molenbeek.
