Chelsea are looking to add yet more attacking reinforcement to their squad this summer and have identified a promising Premier League forward for their list of targets.
Enzo Maresca’s team have been left short in the goals department and an injury to Nicolas Jackson has highlighted their need for another option at striker.
The Blues have started compiling a shortlist of targets for the number nine role and a current Premier League attacker has just been added to that list.
Chelsea are once again expected to be very busy during the summer transfer window but will first be hoping to secure Champions League qualification this season.

Chelsea add Georginio Rutter to transfer shortlist
Chelsea have added Brighton and Hove Albion striker Georginio Rutter to their transfer shortlist ahead of the summer window, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Blues are believed to be closely monitoring the French forward who has 12 goal contributions to his name this season.
The 22-year-old has netted on eight occasions and added a further four assists to his tally in what has been a solid debut campaign for the Seagulls following his £40m move from Leeds United.
Rutter, who’s been described as ‘magnificent’, can fill several attacking roles, including as a striker, number ten and playing out on the right-hand side which makes him an attractive option for Maresca’s side.
Who else is on Chelsea’s shortlist of forwards for the summer?
Chelsea have been tipped to return for Victor Osimhen having attempted to sign the Nigerian forward last summer but just missed out on im.
| Player | Age |
| Victor Osimhen | 26 |
| Benjamin Sesko | 21 |
| Rafael Leao | 25 |
| Jamie Gittens | 20 |
| Liam Delap | 22 |
Meanwhile, Benjamin Sesko remains a target for Chelsea and the West London club have been to Leipzig to watch him in action this term.
Chelsea could offer Jadon Sancho in exchange for Jamie Gittens with Borussia Dortmund keen to bring the forward back to the Bundesliga this summer.
Rafael Leao is another big name being linked to Chelsea with talks having taken place during the discussions over Joao Felix’s loan move to Italy.
Liam Delap might be reunited with Enzo Maresca, with the pair having worked together during their time at Manchester City’s academy.
