Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior remains the subject of speculation about his future going into the January transfer window.
The 23-year-old joined the Gunners from Spezia in the last January transfer window for a reported £20million.
Although Kiwior joined Arsenal as a prospect for the future, he’s yet to really make an impact for the Gunners.
Now, Milan are apparently in pursuit of the Arsenal defender, and Calciomercato have provided an update on the state of play.
The Italian outlet claims the Rossoneri have a ‘mission in England’ to get the signing done, and are ‘continuing negotiations’ for the transfer.

Arsenal are said not to be open to a loan deal, which was Milan’s initial wish. The Serie A giants are now looking at other ways to get a deal over the line.
Milan apparently have ‘good feelings’ about the possibility of eventually getting the player, especially because Kiwior has shown ‘desire to move’ from London in January.
However, Arsenal are reportedly unsure whether to let the £20million-rated man leave next month or whether to give him a chance to prove himself until the end of the season.
Jakub Kiwior faces uncertain future at Arsenal amid AC Milan links
It would be a shame to see Kiwior leaving just a year into his tenure at Arsenal. Should that be the case, it would suggest that Arteta sees it as cutting his losses.
The 23-year-old is a player Robert Lewandowski has described as ‘extraordinary‘ in the past, while Cesc Fabregas deemed him ‘very fast’ and hard-working, and backed him to become ‘important’ for Arsenal.
However, Kiwior has struggled so far at the Emirates Stadium. His last outing saw him play out of position at left-back and endure a ‘tough night’.
Let’s see what happens in the coming weeks. Speculation seems to be pointing at a positive conclusion for Milan, who’d be getting themselves a good player who’s proven in Serie A.
Meanwhile, Arsenal will likely have to go back to the drawing board and look to bring in someone to replace Kiwior in the January transfer window.
