‘Haven’t seen…’: Cesc Fabregas blown away by Liverpool defender against Palace

Liverpool might have drawn 1-1 at home with Crystal Palace this evening, but there were still some things to like for those looking on.

While the likes of Rio Ferdinand and Carles Puyol were left in awe of the equalising goal by Luis Diaz, former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas was more impressed with what he saw from Liverpool right-back, Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Known for being a pass master himself, the Spanish midfielder was watching on from home and took to Twitter to rave about Trent’s passing ability, comparing him to Brazilian legend, Dani Alves.

Alexander-Arnold has become a key player for Liverpool over the years and he’ll have been a frustrated figure tonight after seeing his team drop points. More so, Trent will have been annoyed with seeing Darwin Nunez see red, given he is the ideal target man for the England right-back to aim at.

Still, this is a nice compliment from Fabregas, who is clearly impressed with what he is seeing from Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool.

TBR’s View: Trent Is World Class

Fabregas is right in his little assessment here and there aren’t many players who have had the range of passing Alexander-Arnold has.

Players like David Beckham spring to mind and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Liverpool end up using Alexander-Arnold in midfield at some point in the future. Certainly, if he continues to develop how he is then there is no reason why he can’t play there for the Reds and England.

Alexander-Arnold is a class act, and although he was on the losing side tonight, there will be more to come from Trent during the 22/23 season.
