Celtic fans discuss £10m deadline-day deal on Twitter
The career of Jack Hendry took another intriguing step after a £10million move to Club Brugge – and Celtic fans have reacted on Twitter.
Hendry, 26, has been excellent over the last 12 months. Leaving Celtic on loan to join Belgian side KV Oostende, he has starred in the Jupiler League.
The Scotland international joined Oostende after just 27 appearances for Celtic. He starred for Oostende, playing 30 times in his first season.
At the start of the 21-22 campaign, he captained Oostende in five of his six outings. But he has now joined Brugge for a huge £10million.
The Mail claim that Hendry has joined Brugge for an initial £7million – along with £3million in add-ons. Brugge have confirmed the deal.
Hendry to Brugge: Celtic fans discuss £10m move for defender
Hendry has endured a tricky career. Even before Brugge, he has eight clubs on his CV – but has failed to play more than 40 games for one club.
Eight clubs appear – Oostende, Celtic, Dundee, MK Dons, Melbourne City, Wigan, Partick and Shrewsbury. But the most he has played for is Oostende.
As stated, only 36 appearances have come in that time for the Belgian outfit. Now, he might have finally found his home in Belgian title winners Brugge.
His move has been met with frustration from Celtic fans. Hendry struggled at Celtic but many fans believe they could have got more money for him.
