Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison once again started for Brazil at the World Cup yesterday as they secured their place in the knockout rounds.
It took a late goal from Manchester United midfielder Casemiro to secure a second win on the bounce for the Selecao.
Richarlison was already off the pitch when Brazil finally made the breakthrough, having been replaced by Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus.
Brazil were without their biggest star Neymar, and struggled to create too many clear-cut chances against a stubborn Switzerland.
Richarlison was unable to reproduce his heroics from the opening game of the tournament against Serbia.

He remains Brazil’s top scorer at this World Cup, but may be rested for their final group game against Cameroon given they’re already through.
Brazil’s national media reacted to Richarlison’s performance yesterday, and thought he could have done better.
However, his teammates were still happy with his run out after the match.
In particular, Casemiro was really impressed with Richarlison last night.
The Manchester United star reacted on social media to the 25-year-old’s performance.
Casemiro really impressed with Richarlison
Brazil’s number nine took to Instagram after the match to celebrate his country’s victory.
West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta simply said, ‘Vamos’, while PSG defender Marquinhos loved his update.
Casemiro joined his teammates in praising Richarlison, and suggested the forward was on fire last night.

Richarlison’s role for Brazil is very different to the one he plays for Tottenham.
While Antonio Conte uses him more in a support role for Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, he is very much a focal point of Brazil’s attack.
With the likes of Vinicius Jr. and Raphinha supporting him, Richarlison’s main job is linking up play and finishing chances.

He thought he had an assist last night when he flicked the ball into the path of Vinicius Jr., but came back from an offside position.
Regardless, Richarlison still impressed Casemiro and his other Brazil teammates.
Given the way they’ve celebrated every goal this World Cup, spirits are certainly very high in the camp.
Whether that can lead them to their sixth World Cup victory is yet to be seen.
