'Can make defenders look foolish': Chris Sutton says Conte will be really afraid of one Arsenal player tonight

Tottenham Hotspur host Arsenal in the North London Derby later today and Chris Sutton believes Bukayo Saka is the one man Antonio Conte fears the most ahead of the game.

The race for the top four could end today. All Arsenal need to do is pick up a win to secure a spot in the Champions League next season. What would make it sweeter for Mikel Arteta’s men is that a victory tonight will make it impossible for Spurs to finish higher than fifth.

If that isn’t enough incentive for the North Londoners to really have a go tonight, we don’t know what is.

Sutton has had his say on the big derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and he thinks Saka will be Arsenal’s biggest threat tonight.

Tottenham v Arsenal: Sutton says Antonio Conte fears Bukayo Saka

In his column on The Daily Mail, Sutton wrote: “Has anyone checked Saka’s boots for super glue? The way the ball sticks to him, it is a splendid display of control, and Davies has his work cut out for him. As the man on the left of Tottenham’s back three, Saka is his problem.

“If there is one forward that Antonio Conte fears most, it is this 20-year-old, who scored in the reverse fixture in September.

“Who tops Arsenal’s list for goals? Saka. For shots? Saka. For dribbles attempted and completed? Saka. He is only one behind Alexandre Lacazette for assists, too.

“As in all games, the result will largely come down to the head-to-head duels and Saka is someone who can make defenders look foolish.”

Mikel Arteta says Saka’s a doubt for tonight’s game

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta faced the media yesterday and he was asked about Ben White and Saka’s fitness ahead of the game against Tottenham tonight.

The Spaniard claimed, as per Arsenal.com: “Thomas (Partey) is still out, Kieran (Tierney) is still out and with Ben (White) he is still a doubt, we have to assess him and see how he is feeling, which is much better. With Bukayo, it’s the same.”

Saka was withdrawn in the 68th minute in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Leeds United last weekend. Arteta’s comments suggest that he may have picked up a knock, which is worrying. However, he has been involved in training, and we believe he will start for the Gunners in the derby tonight.

We don’t know if Conte really does fear Saka ahead of the game, but we’re sure the Italian has come up with a plan to stop the Arsenal youngster.
