Robin Koch has taken to Twitter to admit his disappointment at Leeds United suffering defeat to Arsenal on Saturday, but insist that the feeling of getting back playing at Elland Road again was ‘special’.
Koch handed the Whites a big boost before they faced the Gunners. Marcelo Bielsa confirmed ahead of the game that the Germany international would be available.

He had not featured for Leeds since the opening day of the campaign due to injury. And in truth, Bielsa would have likely wanted to wait a little longer to bring the 25-year-old back into the side.
Usually, players returning from a lengthy injury will feature for the under-23s as part of their comeback. But Koch was fast tracked straight into the first-team starting lineup as the injuries continue to pile up.

Unfortunately for Leeds, Saturday proved to be another tough evening. Arsenal were 3-0 up by half-time. And while Leeds improved after the break, their defending was calamitous throughout. For many, Illan Meslier was the best player in a Leeds shirt.

Of course, it is hard to be too harsh on the likes of Koch and Luke Ayling. Ayling himself, had been ill before the game. Charlie Cresswell had been told that he would start during the week before he became the latest name on the sidelines due to a dislocated shoulder (via The Athletic).
But certainly, it was grim viewing for Leeds fans. Nevertheless, the supporters continued to get behind the team up until the final whistle.
And while Koch expressed how hurt he was by the result, he suggested that the support the team received provides reason for optimism…
