Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has now confessed to which competition he’d rather win this season, the Premier League or the Champions League.

Of course, Mikel Arteta’s side did break a 14 year curse having beat FC Porto to reach the quarter-finals of Europe’s elite competition last night.

At this stage of last season it felt like it was all beginning to fall apart, Arsenal were dumped out of Europe by Sporting Lisbon and Manchester City were hot on their tails in the league.

However, there’s much more reason for optimism this time around.

And following the coming international break, Arsenal will then have an incredibly crucial fixture away to Manchester City to navigate.

That being said, Bukayo Saka was asked which of the two lofty honours Arsenal are still in contention for this season he’d rather win on CBS Sports last night.

And whilst it still remains an incredibly tough challenge, given Arsenal aren’t favourites in either competition, Saka was pressed for an answer.

Bukayo Saka says he’d rather win the Premier League with Arsenal rather than anything else

Perhaps given the disappointment attached to last season’s shortcomings, Saka admitted that he’d choose to win the Premier League at Arsenal if it came down to it.

Simply replying: “If I had to choose this season I want the Premier League but I want both.”

Of course, Arsenal fans will enjoy hearing that ambition at the end there too, a world class player with world class aspirations.

And although Saka didn’t necessarily enjoy his best night against Porto, he was frustrated just like many other Arsenal players, he proved his quality in the penalty shootout.

Saka dispatched a confident penalty, yet again dispelling any hangover from his miss for England in the past.

And if Arsenal are to win either the Premier League or the Champions League in the future, Saka will be a key reason why.

Every Arsenal fan will be praying that the England international avoids any issue over the break, and returns in top shape ready for the Man City game.

That being said, Porto manager Sergio Conceicao did point out something Arsenal struggled with last night
