Premier League clubs have been producing incredible young talents over the last few years, and Manchester United have now joined the party.

The Red Devils are one of the biggest clubs in world football. They have an incredible history, but over the last decade, they haven’t quite been at the level required.

A number of fans blame their recruitment for the lack of success in recent years, but a conversation needs to be had about their academy as well.

Manchester United‘s academy has a number of talented players, but very few have actually made it at the top level in recent seasons. However, there’s one player who has become the talk of the town now.

Manchester United youngster receives his first England call-up

Manchester United haven’t had a great season at all, but one player who has impressed everybody is young Kobbie Mainoo.

The talented teenager is one of the best young players in the Premier League right now. He has been ‘amazing‘ every time he has played this season, and he will only get better in the coming years.

Mainoo’s brilliance over the last few months hasn’t gone unnoticed.

After being left out at first, Gareth Southgate decided to call up the Manchester United midfielder to the senior squad for the first time ever yesterday.

The teenager completely deserves his call-up following a number of impressive performances under Erik ten Hag this season – most recently, against Liverpool in the FA Cup.

Mainoo, understandably, is delighted with the news, and so are many of his pals.

Kobbie Mainoo took to Instagram to celebrate his first England call-up yesterday.

“It’s an honour to receive my first senior call up,” he wrote along with a couple of pictures where he is seen standing in front of the Three Lions badge.

A number of Mainoo’s teammates, including his captain Bruno Fernandes, are delighted for him. “My guy,” the Manchester United skipper wrote in the comments.

Arsenal and England legend Ian Wright replied with a heart emoji as he showed his love to the talented young midfielder.
