Micah Richards has lauded Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo after his display against Liverpool yesterday.
Erik ten Hag’s men booked their place in the semi-final of the FA Cup with a 4-3 win over fierce rivals Liverpool.
It was a game which swung back and forth, with both sides taking the lead inside 90 minutes before Antony’s late effort forced Liverpool to extra time.
Despite Harvey Elliott’s goal, Marcus Rashford and Amad Diallo secured a memorable win for Manchester United.
And despite youngster Diallo grabbing the headlines, Kobbie Mainoo put in yet another impressive display in the middle of the park.

Richards amazed by Mainoo’s display vs Liverpool
Speaking on The Rest Is Football, Richards singled out Mainoo for praise after United’s win at Old Trafford yesterday.
“How good was Kobbie Mainoo? Oh my word. He just gets better and better and better,” the former Manchester City man said.
“We analysed him when he first played for Man United and we talked about how calm he was on the ball but it’s not just that, he runs forward, he has great feet, his passing range looks good.
“I think they still have work to do on the tactical side of things in terms of protecting his back four a little bit but what a performance. He was amazing today.”

Mainoo got 80 minutes under his belt yesterday and even earned praise from Jurgen Klopp after the game.
Indeed, the German boss was spotted giving the youngster a ‘high five’ as he left the pitch on Sunday.
Off the back of yesterday’s display, you can only wonder why Mainoo didn’t earn a call-up to the latest England squad.
The 18-year-old has excelled since earning his first Premier League start at Everton last year.
Mainoo has already proven he can mix it with the best and he certainly didn’t look out of place against Liverpool yesterday.
