'Brilliant' player is so happy at Tottenham, he doesn't want to leave at all - journalist
Tottenham now fully expect Harry Kane to sign a new contract at the club amid interest from German champions Bayern Munich.
That is according to journalist Ben Jacobs on YouTube, who says that Spurs are relaxed about Kane’s situation despite no resolution over a new deal yet.
Perhaps Kane’s plans are linked to Antonio Conte’s future at the club, which is an even more live issue, with the Italian trying to get the backing of the club.
Jacobs says that Bayern’s interest has been overblown anyway, and in fairness, they do not often pay huge transfer fees like the one which would be needed to sign Kane.
Jacobs on potential Kane new contract
Jacobs said: “I think with Harry Kane it again is a calm situation.
“There’s not a feeling from sources that actually he wants to go anywhere, providing that the Tottenham project is progressing and he’s getting games and goals.
“These links with Bayern Munich are exaggerated, from what I’ve always been told. I’ve been told many, many times from the Spurs end that they fully believe Harry Kane will sign a new contract.
“He doesn’t have any great desire to go to the Bundesliga and he feels that Tottenham is moving in the right direction.”
We run out of superlatives for the ‘brilliant‘ Kane at times but he is going to break the England scoring record and he could break the Premier League one if he spends his whole career in the division.
He flirted with Manchester City in 2021 and will not want to commit the last big contract of his career to a club not realising his ambitions.
With Conte, they can match Kane’s drive, winning trophies and getting to the top of English football but the Italian does not tend to stick around for a long time.
