Brighton striker Neal Maupay has emerged as a surprise transfer target for Everton this summer – and Brighton fans have reacted on Twitter.
Maupay, 25, has scored 18 goals in his first two Premier League seasons since swapped Brentford for the Seagulls. Brighton paid £20million.
This season, the French powerhouse has scored two goals in two – with Brighton picking up six points against Watford and Burnley.
Sky Sports claim his form has not gone unnoticed, as Rafa Benitez looks to bring in competition for England striker Dom Calvert-Lewin this summer.
Moise Kean is expected to return to Juventus and Cenk Tosun could also depart, leaving Everton without a second-choice striker for 21-22.

What do Brighton fans think of Everton eyeing Maupay?
Everton also waved goodbye to Josh King, after he only penned a six-month permanent deal in January. The Norwegian has since moved to Watford.
So, a striker is a necessity for Everton – with Richarlison probably the only other option to Calvert-Lewin. But Everton are certainly leaving it late.
It is unclear how much Maupay would cost Everton, given he was a £20million signing. But it would certainly be north of £20million.
Brighton fans have had their say on Everton looking at Maupay. The overriding feeling, and it is an obvious one, is that they want him to stay.
