Report: Juventus receive offers from Aston Villa, West Ham and Everton for £26million-rated midfielder
A report from Italian newspaper Tutto Sport claim Juventus have received offers from Aston Villa, West Ham and Everton for Weston McKennie.
The 22-year-old United States international is being strongly linked with a move to the Premier League, ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
The ex-Schalke star has impressed for Juventus over the past 12 months, as a midfielder or as a right-back. TMW say he is rated at £26million.
Whether McKennie wants a move to the Premier League from Juventus remains to be seen. He could join Cristiano Ronaldo in moving to England.
Now, the report claims Juventus have bids from Villa, Everton and West Ham for McKennie. It is unclear if Juve have accepted or rejected the offers.
Which club best for McKennie – Everton, West Ham or Villa?
Well, only of the three sides are currently in European football. West Ham have qualified for the Europa League, whereas Villa and Everton have not.
McKennie clocked up a huge 46 appearances for Juve last season. He will probably want to remain at Juve, but Juve might be keen to cash in.
But McKennie might struggle to start for West Ham. Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek are one of the best midfield partnerships in the Premier League.
At Everton, the Toffees boast numerous options in the middle of the park. But at Villa, McKennie may find he has more game time.
But for the USA ace, surely he would rather stay at Juventus – above leaving the club in the coming days.
