Brentford fans react after signing Daniel Oyegoke from Arsenal
A number of Brentford fans have taken to Twitter to react to the announcement of the signing of youngster Daniel Oyegoke from Arsenal.
The 18-year-old left having not made his first-team debut at the Emirates. He was however, becoming a more prominent fixture for the under-23s.
The defender featured 11 times in Premier League 2 last season. And it was recently claimed that he had been offered a professional deal in North London.
However, he has decided to move on. And he has ended up joining the Bees.
The newly-promoted side confirmed on their official website that Oyegoke has signed a three-year deal with an option for a fourth year.
He will initially join up with their B squad. But of course, the model Brentford have in place leaves the door very much open for their best players to move into Thomas Frank’s plans.
And it appears that many Brentford fans see first-team football in Oyegoke’s future. Several have suggested that it is a coup.
