Bellingham reacts in one word to Bukayo Saka’s England display

Jude Bellingham appears to have responded to Bukayo Saka‘s Instagram post following England’s draw with Germany by comparing the Arsenal starlet with Lionel Messi following his performance off the bench.

Gareth Southgate’s men produced a much more positive display in their final game before the World Cup. A dramatic 3-3 draw with Hansi Flick’s side has provided a lot more reason for encouragement ahead of Qatar.

However, it did appear at one stage that another miserable night may be on the cards. The Three Lions went 2-0 down during the second-half and were struggling to lay much of a glove on the visitors.

But that changed when Southgate introduced Mason Mount and Saka. In fact, the pair combined for the equaliser. And Saka was a thorn in Germany’s side throughout his time on the pitch.

The Arsenal winger showed what he could do in his favoured position, dancing past German challenges at one stage and producing moments of real quality.

And he appears to have really impressed some of his teammates. Saka posted on Instagram following the game, and Bellingham responded with one simple word.

It would appear that the Borussia Dortmund star – who was outstanding at Wembley – was drawing comparisons between the 21-year-old and arguably the greatest player of all-time…

Saka compared with Messi

Saka’s performance sent a very clear message to Gareth Southgate. If used in the correct way, the Gunners star will step up and make a massive impact.

He had been deployed as a left wing-back in the previous game. And the decision had not paid off.

It is no secret that Saka is one of the most talented young players around. Certainly, one of the other players in that category clearly believes that he is destined for the very top.
