Clinton Morrison has given his verdict on Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice after watching him in action against Brighton and Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium.

The former Crystal Palace forward and BBC Sport pundit was hugely impressed by Rice.

So, what has been said about Arsenal and England international midfielder Declan Rice? Let’s take a look.

Praise for Arsenal star Declan Rice

Well, Clinton Morrison was following the match between Arsenal and Brighton and Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

The former Crystal Palace forward was on co-commentary duty on BBC Radio 5 Live for the Premier League game.

In the final minutes of the match, Morrison said that Rice has become better since moving to Arsenal from West Ham United in the summer of 2023.

Arsenal won 2-0. One of the best players for the Gunners was Declan Rice. The former West Ham United star imposed himself on the game and was a force to be reckoned with in the middle of the park. Rodney Marsh was impressed.

Rice started in the centre of a three-man midfield. He provided a strong base and allowed the attacking players to thrive.

The 24-year-old has scored three goals and given one assist in 17 Premier League matches for Arsenal this season.

The England international midfielder has also given one assist in six UEFA Champions League appearances for the North London club this season.

Morrison said about Rice on BBC Radio 5 Live (3:47 pm, December 17, 2023): “He has gone to another level since he has gone to Arsenal.”

Declan Rice could help Arsenal win Premier League title

In my view, Arsenal are a better team with Declan Rice in it. I believe that the 24-year-old could be a key figure for the Gunners in their quest to win the Premier League title this season.

Roy Keane rates Rice highly and has noted the physicality that he has brought to the Arsenal midfield. The Gunners are a more solid and more combative team with the Englishman in it.
