Rodney Marsh has given his verdict on the performance of Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice against Brighton and Hove Albion.
The former Manchester City forward was hugely impressed by the display produced by Rice at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
So, what has Rodney Marsh said about Declan Rice? Let’s take a look.
Praise for Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice vs Brighton and Hove Albion
Well, Arsenal beat Brighton and Hove Albion 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Brazil international striker Gabriel Jesus and Germany international midfielder Kai Havertz scored the goals for the Gunners in the Premier League match.
Former Manchester City forward Rodney Marsh was following the match, and the pundit was impressed by the display produced by Declan Rice.
Rice started the match for Arsenal. Manager Mikel Arteta deployed the 24-year-old in the centre of a three-man midfield alongside Martin Odegaard and Havertz.
The England international has been superb for Arsenal this season, and the former West Ham United star did well against Brighton.

Rice was a very solid figure at the base of the midfield, and that allowed Arsenal to drive forward.
The midfielder was a threat going forward and was a force to be reckoned with in the middle of the park.
Arsenal going strong in Premier League title race
Arsenal were not at their very best against Brighton and Hove Albion. They should have scored more goals and also allowed the Seagulls chances.
However, the North London club have picked up yet another win. That is hugely encouraging at this stage of the season.
Liverpool are going strong as ever, and it is only a matter of time before Manchester City get back to their best.
Arsenal simply have to keep on winning even if they do not play particularly well. That is what champions do, and the Gunners could become Premier League champions this season.
