Bayern Munich player suggests £50m Arsenal target is actually better than Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel has been discussing some of the best strikers of the modern era.

The striker was speaking to Goal on TikTok, and he was asked to rank five of the best centre-forwards in recent years.

The likes of Luis Suarez and Karim Benzema ranked very highly on Tel’s list, while one current Arsenal target was in fourth place.

Indeed, Tel put Victor Osimhen fourth in his list of strikers, ahead of Zlatan Ibrahimovic who ultimately placed at number five.

As many will know, Osimhen has been the subject of interest from Arsenal for quite some time now, and the fact that he’s in the same conversation with the likes of Ibrahimovic, Suarez and Benzema just goes to show how good the Nigerian is.

Of course, whether or not Osimhen is actually better than Ibrahimovic is up for debate. Both players were utterly brilliant and dominated Serie A in their own right, but Ibrahimovic’s record in other leagues and longevity just put him above, in our view.

Tel knows a good striker when he sees one though. This young man has himself been linked to Arsenal as of late, and the fact that he’s a Bayern Munich player currently shows his own individual quality.

Osimhen is only 25 years old and he’s already being considered amongst some of the very best strikers of this generation, and that is very exciting as he seemingly gears up for a potential move to the Premier League this summer when he leaves Napoli.

Whether or not Arsenal can ultimately win this race remains to be seen, but the Gunners are, by all accounts, ready to splash the cash on a top striker this summer, and they don’t come much better than Osimhen these days.

The £50m man is one of the best centre-forwards in the world, that’s for sure.
