Tottenham are said to be among the clubs keen on Inter Milan striker, Lautaro Martinez, and reports from Italy have suggested the striker is open to the switch to North London.

A number of clubs are thought to be keen on Martinez this summer. Liverpool have been credited with an interest, while Arsenal are also among the clubs to have cast their eye over the Argentinian.

However, a report from Tuttosport has now suggested that Martinez is eyeing a move to either Tottenham or Atletico Madrid if he is to leave Inter. The striker is thought to be valued at around £66.5m by Inter, however, there has been talk that he could well be sold for less than that eventually.

Hailed as a ‘fabulous’ striker by Rio Ferdinand, Martinez has scored 69 goals for Inter, with 20 of those coming this season. His record for Argentina is good as well, with 19 coming in 37 games.

Tottenham are looking to back Antonio Conte this summer as they aim to prove they’re willing to give the former Inter manager the top players he craves. Spurs drew 0-0 with Brentford this weekend and are now two points behind Arsenal in the race for the top four.

TBR’s View: Tottenham Should Seize On Martinez Being Keen

Anyone who signs Martinez is getting one of the best strikers in the world at the moment. He is that good, and whoever does land him is getting a near guarantee of goals.

Martinez oozes quality and brings goals to the table as well. His record with Inter – and under Conte as well – is a good one. He’s also young enough to keep improving, and could well be a game-changer if he does arrive at Tottenham.

The idea of spending £60m+ on a striker is daunting. However, if Martinez is open to the move, then Spurs should look to go and get him.
