Barcelona fans react on Twitter to links with Tottenham star Ndombele

A number of Barcelona fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from Sport claiming that they want to make a January loan bid for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

Ndombele is reportedly facing an uncertain future in North London. The Frenchman struggled to cement himself in the Spurs side during Nuno Espirito Santo’s tenure.

Of course, a lot has changed at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the last few days. Nuno has gone. And in his place, Antonio Conte has come in as the club’s new manager.

Conte will still be adapting to his new surroundings. And with that, he is unlikely to make any rash decisions on the players already within his squad.

However, Sport claims that Ndombele is set to be available in January. That is because Conte wants Franck Kessie in his ranks.

And that is set to prompt Barcelona to make a loan bid for the 24-year-old. It is noted that Xavi wants to strengthen in midfield if he takes over at the Nou Camp.

It is a surprise to see Ndombele linked with a move away given that Conte has only just come in. And it would seem that plenty of Barcelona fans are perplexed about the reports.

Some have insisted that Barca do not need anymore midfielders. And they have suggested that Ndombele is not an upgrade.
