Barcelona fans react as Newcastle reportedly eye Ousmane Dembele

Newcastle are reportedly in talks to sign Barcelona wide man Ousmane Dembele on a free transfer – and Barcelona fans have reacted on Twitter.

Dembele, 24, is in the last year of his contract at Barcelona – and is yet to play a single minute for Ronald Koeman’s side this season.

The France international has failed to rediscover his best form since suffering an ACL injury. Now, a move to the Premier League is expected.

Foot Mercato claim Newcastle are in talks, offering Dembele a five-year deal worth a huge £244,000 a week. He also wants a £12.7m signing-on fee.

It is believed Dembele is keen on a move – and is ready to join, as long as Newcastle remain in the Premier League. Manchester City are also keen.

What are Barcelona fans saying about Newcastle eyeing Dembele?

Dembele is a proper player. He scores goals, creates goals, and produces utter magic from nothing. Dembele would be a worldie signing.

Obviously, the World Cup winner is a player you expect to see in the Champions League – a move to Newcastle might be a stepping stone.

But if Newcastle can match his ambition and progress quickly, while paying handsomely in the mean time – then he could be the face of the new era.

Barcelona fans are not impressed, though. They would be losing a player they spent more than £100million on – for nothing on a pre-contract deal.

Many want him sold in January to get some cash for Dembele – but whether the Barcelona ace wants a Bosman move instead, remains to be seen.
