Barcelona fans react as Arsenal and Liverpool reportedly in talks for their £12.75m-rated teenager
Liverpool and Arsenal are among the teams that could reportedly sign Barcelona midfielder Ilaix Moriba this summer. A report claims 10 Premier League clubs could sign the teenage talent – but three are in talks. Barcelona fans have reacted to reports that Arsenal and Liverpool want Moriba.
Moriba, 18, was thrown into the Barcelona first team last season under Ronald Koeman. Making his debut, the midfielder clocked up 18 senior appearances for the Nou Camp outfit. But Barcelona’s financial crisis, which has seen Lionel Messi leave, means they need to cash in where they can.
What are fans saying as Arsenal and Liverpool eye Moriba?
ARA Esports say clubs have made £4.25million offers for Moriba – but that Barcelona are willing to sell for £12.75million. 90Min say Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham are in talks. Chelsea and both Manchester clubs are keen – while he has been offered to Everton, Leicester, Wolves and West Ham.
Barcelona fans were told on Twitter that Arsenal and Liverpool are looking to raid them this summer for Moriba. It is clear that many Barcelona fans are open to the sale of Guinea-born Spain Under-17 international Moriba – as the club look to bring in some much-needed cash in the coming months.
