James Ward-Prowse may not be the only Southampton player Aston Villa consider a move for during the summer transfer window, judging by a report from The Telegraph.
Villa have been the early pace-setters in the window. They broke their transfer record to sign Emi Buendia and swiftly followed that by making a £25 million bid for Emile Smith Rowe.

They have since brought Ashley Young back to the club.
But they have been linked with other names. And one of those who seems to be extremely high up on their wishlist is Ward-Prowse.
However, Southampton reportedly plan to reject all interest in the 26-year-old.
But he may not be the only Saints star Villa come calling for this summer.

According to The Telegraph, the Villans are admirers of Romeu.
It is noted however, that Southampton are also reluctant to consider any offers for the Spaniard. So a deal is looking unlikely at this stage.
Aston Villa could need to make eye-watering bid to tempt Southampton into accepting surprise transfer
Romeu has been such a key man for the Saints over the last six seasons. He has made well over 200 appearances for the club in all competitions.
Southampton are also under little pressure to sell. His contract still has another two years left to run.
And given that he turns 30 later this year, it may be his deal ends at the right sort of time to let him go.
Villa therefore, are surely going to need something special to lure him away from the south coast.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men are a much better side when the former Chelsea man is available.
And it is hard to imagine Villa making the kind of offer that reflects his importance to the Saints in this window.
