According to a recent report, Aston Villa are now intensifying their interest in a highly-rated playmaker on the continent.
Aston Villa are preparing for a Champions League campaign this season and have already bolstered their squad, accordingly.
Lewis Dobbin, Ian Maatsen, Ross Barkley, Enzo Barrenechea and Samuel Iling-Junior have all signed on the dotted line and two others are set to join them.
Jaden Philogene and Amadou Onana will be confirmed as new additions imminently, though, the club aren’t stopping there.
Villa are now ready to accelerate a deal for a highly-rated attacker.

Aston Villa to accelerate deal for Joao Felix
Aston Villa have been heavily linked with a move for Atletico Madrid playmaker Joao Felix in recent weeks.
Now, according to Spanish outlet Sport, they’re ready to accelerate the deal to sign the Portugal international.
Felix, who has been labelled ‘one of the best’ attackers in Europe per Breaking The Lines, wants out of Madrid before pre-season begins.
It seems Villa are the most likely destination at this stage with Benfica and Barcelona also mooted.
Any forthcoming deal is expected to be a loan – which is Villa’s preference.
Joao Felix considering Aston Villa
Felix’s preferred destination appears to be a return to Barcelona, having spent the season there last year.
Though, if that move fails to materialise, he’ll consider The Villians, who have the lure of Champions League football on the horizon.
Emery seems desperate to add that sprinkle of magic in the forward area and Felix is the man he’s after to provide that.
