Arsenal are flying high at present, sitting top of the Premier League table and with a win already on board in the Europa League.

On Thursday night, the Gunners host Norwegian champions Bodo/Glimt at the Emirates Stadium.

Despite being favourites on paper, Arsenal have made clear how seriously they’re taking their visitors.

On Wednesday, Mikel Arteta told the Gunners media team that Bodo/Glimt’s level is “very high”.

The Arsenal boss also revealed that Martin Odegaard told him it “will be a really tough match”.

Likewise, the Gunners contingent has been working hard on the training ground ahead of the game.

On Wednesday, Football Daily shared footage of Arsenal’s latest training session at London Colney.

At around 45 seconds in, several Arsenal players were tussling for the ball.

And in the aftermath, Fabio Vieira is seen limping away, a somewhat alarming sight.

However, Charles Watts said there was “nothing to worry about” as the 22-year-old rejoined the session.

“He’s going to be exciting to watch,” the Goal.com Arsenal correspondent said on his YouTube channel.

This suggests Vieira could start against Bodo/Glimt – perhaps in place of Martin Odegaard.

Great news for Gunners fans if that’s the case, as they once again get to see another of Arsenal’s top talents in action.

Vieira joined Arsenal as an exciting prospect for the future, much like Marquinhos.

And both have hit the ground running at the Emirates Stadium, suggesting they could become future stars.

Vieira already has two Arsenal starts to his name – five appearances overall – and scored a superb goal against Brentford.

He looks very much ahead of schedule and, with Arteta likely to ring the changes against Bodo/Glimt, he could well start.

Fans on Twitter have previously compared Vieira to Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla and Bernardo Silva.

Could the “special” Gunners youngster go on to reach those same levels in the coming years?

Obviously it’s still early days but Vieira does seem on the right track.
