Arsene Wenger has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane looks ‘frustrated’ at Spurs after not being able to win a trophy there over the years.
The Englishman has had a phenomenal season once again at Spurs, even though almost everyone else at the club has failed to perform at the level required.
For a player with standards as high as Kane, that is not good at all, and Wenger, on beIN Sports, has now delivered his verdict on one of the England captain’s recent comments about Tottenham.

Arsene Wenger says Harry Kane is frustrated at Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham have had an awful season.
Spurs are onto their third manager for this campaign after sacking Antonio Conte and the guy who replaced him, Cristian Stellini. Ryan Mason is doing the best he can, but it’s just too little too late.
In an interview with Sky Sports not too long ago, Harry Kane addressed Tottenham’s problems this season and seemed to suggest that the standards at the club have dropped since Mauricio Pochettino’s departure.
“We need to discuss some of the standards around the team and the training ground, which we need to get back to. We had [standards] those in place when Mauricio Pochettino was here, so internally we need to do that,” he said.
Arsene Wenger, a legend of the game, was asked to break down Kane’s comments. He said: “Translated, it means that not everybody gives the maximum to perform during training to be good enough in the game.
“Is it down to the character of the players or is it down to the whole atmosphere inside the training ground or the coaches? I don’t know. You need to live every day with players to know what’s really going on, and what works and what doesn’t work.
“You have to create a culture inside the club that allows the players to perform. You need clear rules for everybody to see what you tolerate and what you don’t tolerate. When you talk about values, most of the time it is [about] what is not tolerated.
“Players like Harry Kane have high standards. He is now frustrated because for years the team looked on the way up. Since two or three years they look to have failed again.”
TBR View:
Even though Arsene Wenger is an Arsenal legend, we’re sure most Tottenham fans will agree with his assessment here.
There are so many players at Spurs now who haven’t been at the level required this season. Right from the top with Son Heung-min to other experienced players like Hugo Lloris and Eric Dier, they’ve all underperformed.
The ‘incredible‘ Kane, yet again, has been consistently brilliant, scoring 26 goals in the Premier League. Without him, Spurs would likely be next to Chelsea in the bottom half of the table.
It will be interesting to see what Kane will do when the transfer window opens this summer.
