A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the transfer news from Football London concerning the future of Zech Medley.
Medley is one of a number of talented centre-backs on the Gunners’ books. The 20-year-old appeared to take a small step closer to the first-team fold with a couple of loan spells last term.

He seemed particularly impressive during his time with Kilmarnock. However, it now seems unlikely that Medley is going to get the chance to play under Mikel Arteta.
According to Football London, Medley has chosen to join Oostende in Belgium permanently. It is claimed that he will complete his move in the next few days.
Interestingly, it is suggested that Arteta wanted to keep him. However, he is keen to go and play regularly.

Football London notes that Arsenal have agreed a sell-on clause for Medley. And they will have the first option on the defender should Oostende look to sell him.
The report has been met by a largely positive reaction on social media. Even those who are disappointed appear to accept that Medley was unlikely to get the chance to add to his handful of first-team appearances at the Emirates.
In fact, many have lauded the club for the deal they have done. They have praised Arsenal for covering all bases should Medley realise his full potential in the future.
