Kilmarnock fans rave about Zech Medley as Arsenal man shines against Rangers

Zech Medley swapped Gillingham for Kilmarnock during the January transfer window and the Arsenal youngster enjoyed a standout performance against Rangers on Saturday.

The 20-year-old played 18 times for the Gills during the first half of the 2020/21 campaign and is highly-rated by the coaching staff at the Emirates Stadium.

Medley has three first-team appearances to his name for the North London-based club and will hope his latest loan can be the catalyst for a first-team chance.

The arrival of the Arsenal man has done little to revive Kilmarnock’s fortunes. Tommy Wright’s team are facing a fight to avoid relegation and have lost all three games Medley has played in.

Saturday saw an encouraging performance against the runaway leaders at Ibrox though and afterwards, the Arsenal talent received praise on Twitter.

Medley stands at 6ft 4in and is a man-mountain of a central defender. He is comfortable in possession but is strong as an ox when it comes to winning aerial challenges.

It remains to be seen whether a chance at Arsenal will be forthcoming and he’ll hope to do as good as he possibly can during his latest loan spell.

It seems Kilmarnock fans are delighted with his first three displays, with many raving about him during the defeat to Rangers.

Here is what the fan base had to say about the uncompromising stopper.
