Arsenal want a fee of close to £50 million before they sell Eddie Nketiah during the January transfer window.
Eddie Nketiah appeared to be one player facing an uncertain future at the Emirates heading into the window.
The 24-year-old has scored five goals in the Premier League this season – two more than Gabriel Jesus. Nevertheless, he has not been able to push ahead of the Brazilian in the pecking order.
Arsenal want club-record amount before selling Eddie Nketiah
And with Arsenal looking to sign a new striker in January, you would be able to understand if the England international was keeping his options open in case he feels the need to leave.

Brentford have apparently asked about Nketiah. But according to a report from 90min, Arsenal are looking for a club-record amount before they allow the striker to leave.
90min claims that the Gunners want nearly £50 million for the academy graduate, noting that they believe that he is a better player than Folarin Balogun. Balogun left for Monaco in the summer in a deal which could be worth £35 million.
The report adds that Nketiah’s asking price has put off a lot of clubs.
Gunners’ priority should surely be signing world-class striker
Nketiah is reportedly happy to stay at Arsenal. So that will help the Gunners dig their heels in should a club make a significant bid for the forward next month.
Arsenal fans will surely hope that keeping Nketiah does not harm their chances of signing another marquee forward in the window.
Nketiah has done well for Arsenal, and stepped up when Jesus has been unavailable. Some will argue he is ‘underrated’. He scored a number of key goals after the World Cup last season.
But Nketiah is arguably not world-class. So if Arsenal need the money to fund their own moves and a big offer comes in, a lot of supporters will surely be urging the club to accept the bid.
