Arsenal have made an official bid for Albert Sambi Lokonga of €17m (£14.6m) plus add-ons, potentially €4m (£3.4m), according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Gunners have been linked with the 21-year-old for a few weeks and were recommended the player by legend Thierry Henry. Lokonga was placed on the reserves list for Belgium’s Euro 2020 squad, where the Frenchman is coaching as an assistant.
However, the two clubs still have to agree on a future sale percentage with Anderlecht demanding 15%. The Italian is also claiming that a five-year deal is on the table until the summer of 2026.
Reports yesterday claimed the player will not be returning to the Belgian giants for pre-season.

TBR View: Lokonga would be an astute signing for Arsenal amid bid
Amid reports of a bid, the signing of Lokonga would be an astute addition to Arsenal.
The Gunners have been crying out for more midfield talent after last season’s shocking performances.
Bar Granit Xhaka, there was a real lack of consistency at the heart of the team. And with the Switzerland international on the cusp of leaving, midfield reinforcements are a necessity.
And coupled with potential signings of Ben White and Aaron Ramsdale, there is an influx of talented youngsters this summer.
