Arsenal have only made one signing so far this summer in the shape of Riccardo Calafiori.
The Gunners really haven’t been that active in the window so far, but with just two weeks to go, things could quickly change.
Mikel Merino is said to be close to joining Arsenal, but that may not be the last incoming transfer at the Emirates.
Indeed, according to Kaya Kaynak, speaking on The Arsenal Way YouTube channel, Arsenal could still try to sign an attacker this summer if the right opportunity comes up.
Arsenal could still try to sign an attacker
Kaynak shared what he knows about the Gunners’ transfer plans.
“Arsenal will try (to sign an attacker) if an opportunity comes up. They have played they have kept tabs on. I don’t think Nico Williams is likely to happen, you have to pay the release clause up front and the numbers are massive, that would be tricky,” Kaynak said.
“Mikel Arteta likes Premier League players because they can adapt quickly. But there’s nothing moving too quickly on the forward line.”

Arsenal still need an attacker
Arsenal would be wise to go back into the market for an attacker this summer.
Bukayo Saka, quite simply is playing too much football at the moment.
Mikel Arteta has been criticised for overusing Saka in recent times, and the Gunners would be wise to bring in some cover for the England international.
Of course, finding the right player who is talented enough and willing to come in and play second-fiddle to a player like Saka isn’t easy, but given the great work Edu has done in the transfer market in recent years, Arsenal may be able to pull a rabbit out of the hat.
There could be plenty of movement at the Emirates in the final two weeks of the transfer window.
