Arsenal scouts see Lokonga as an 'ideal' signing

Arsenal scouts view Albert Sambi Lokonga as an ‘ideal reinforcement to refresh the ashes’, according to HLN.

Arsenal are on the hunt for new midfielders this summer. Granit Xhaka is close to leaving the club for AS Roma, whilst, Dani Ceballos returned to Real Madrid.

Lokonga was left out of Anderlecht’s training sessions at his own request. The figure is waiting for the Gunners to agree on a fee with the Belgian giants before flying into England.

The ace will join Nuno Tavares in North London with the Portuguese defender already quarantined in England.

TBR View: Lokonga will do more than add depth to Arsenal after scouts news

Lokonga will do more than add depth to the current Arsenal first team amid the scout news.

Arsenal are in real danger of starting the season without many real options in the centre of midfield.

Xhaka and Ceballos have departed leaving Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny as the only senior options.

Joe Willock could move to Newcastle United, potentially leaving just Lokonga as the backup for Mikel Arteta.

One injury could leave the £17m ace enduring a baptism of fire in what is a brutal start to the campaign for the Gunners.

And at the mere age of 21 without any Premier League experience, it will be a brutal debut season.

Arsenal face a tough start to the season and the last thing they’ll want is to throw Lokonga in the deep end.
