Arsenal were linked with yet another Premier League star on Tuesday, with The Telegraph reporting that the Gunners are keen on Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the transfer window.
Calvert-Lewin, of course, has just enjoyed the best campaign of his career. He scored 16 goals in the Premier League.

His form earned him a place in England’s squad at Euro 2020. And while he has not yet featured for Gareth Southgate’s men, it says a lot that he was taken as the only other natural striker along with Harry Kane.
So it is not hard to see why Mikel Arteta may be keen.
But if the Gunners needed any further encouragement, perhaps they may want to take note of comments made by Richarlison back in October.

The £50 million Brazilian was asked about the improvement his teammate had made under Carlo Ancelotti. He went on to make a big comparison.
“Dominic’s development has been really impressive. He’s transformed into a complete striker. I remember when I got here he was nothing like the player he is today. It’s down to the work he’s put in,” he told FIFA.
“He’s in the gym every day, he’s always working on his finishing.
“He must be a nightmare to play against and he has an incredible leap on him like Cristiano Ronaldo.”
Huge statement if Arsenal could land Calvert-Lewin in the transfer window
It would be remarkable if Arsenal could sign Calvert-Lewin in the transfer window.
The Sun recently suggested that he could be available at around £50 million. So perhaps it is not out of the question that Arsenal could make an offer that appeals to the Toffees hierarchy.
However, it would surely be a huge shock if he did move to the Emirates.
Everton are searching for their next manager. But they still boast enormous potential. And Calvert-Lewin is currently their main man.
Arteta meanwhile, is yet to really prove that he is the right man to take Arsenal forward.
So it would not be an easy decision for Calvert-Lewin if the chance to move presents itself this summer.
But it would certainly be a coup if Arsenal could get a deal done.
