Now that the transfer window has finally come to a close, Arsenal are starting to look internally at their contract situation.
The Gunners went heavy in the transfer market, signing eight players across all of the major positions, coming at a cost of roughly £250 million.
Some moves from Arsenal were expected, as the signing of Viktor Gyokeres was made early on to bolster the forward ranks.
However, the surprise move for Eberechi Eze, followed by the arrival of Piero Hincapie, did catch a few off guard.
Now, Andrea Berta is looking at which key players need new deals to avoid losing them in the years ahead.
One Arsenal star has less than two years remaining on his contract, with the club moving quickly to get him on improved terms.

Arsenal offer new five-year contract to William Saliba
William Saliba is in the final two years under contract at Arsenal, which has put plenty of fans on edge over his future.
The Frenchman has been a key part of the team since returning from his loan at Marseille, featuring regularly under Mikel Arteta.
William Saliba has formed quite the connection with Gabriel Magalhaes, who signed a new contract with Arsenal just a few months ago.
Now, the north London club are hoping his centre-back partner will follow suit, with a new deal now being offered.
According to Foot Mercato, Arsenal have offered a five-year contract to Saliba in the hopes that he will sign the extension soon.
No agreement has been reached yet, but there is some hope that it can be achieved in the near future, before next summer.
Once the 24-year-old enters the final year of his deal, Arsenal could be in a tricky position, as there is every chance he could leave for free or hit a lower valuation point for a potential sale.
Real Madrid hold a historic interest in Saliba, which may only put more pressure on Berta to finalise a deal.
Arteta has already outlined why the defender is so good, as he said early on in his time at the club: “Saliba was superb. For his age, he is built really well.
“You need the right balance. Physicality in this league is something where you can’t come up short. If you do, you will be exposed.”
So far, Saliba has proven Arteta right, but he isn’t the only one with an expiring contract coming up.

Arsenal players out of contract by 2027
There are a fair few players that Arsenal will have to consider the futures of, with plenty of contract talks sure to be lined up over the next year.
For 2026, there are no issues or concerns, but the summer of 2027 could see some significant churn within the squad.
- Bukayo Saka
- William Saliba
- Gabriel Martinelli
- Gabriel Jesus
- Leandro Trossard
- Christian Norgaard
For those six players, there are very mixed decisions to be made over their futures.
Bukayo Saka’s contract will no doubt be a point of discussion at Arsenal, given his importance to the team.
Meanwhile, there may be question marks over the futures of Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Jesus.
Christian Norgaard is a squad option and talks over his future are unlikely until near the end of his deal as a result.
