Arsenal have received a further boost in their push to offload some of their fringe players in the transfer window, with Football London reporting the news that Fenerbahce are the latest to show serious interest in Sead Kolasinac.

Kolasinac will surely be on the move this summer. The 28-year-old spent the second-half of last season out on loan.

Unfortunately, Schalke’s relegation from the Bundesliga seemed to put pay to their hopes of keeping the left-back beyond his loan.

Nevertheless, it appears that Arsenal are working to move him on this summer.

Recent reports suggested that he is not in Mikel Arteta’s plans for the coming season. And it was claimed that both Napoli and Lazio had made approaches for the Bosnia and Herzegovina international.

That report from Calciomercato suggested that Kolasinac was keen to move to Italy.

But Fenerbahce may yet look to throw a late spanner in the works. Football London reports that the Turkish side are the latest to show serious interest.

More transfer interest in Kolasinac is good news for Arsenal

Of course, it appears that the priority for all parties has to be moving Kolasinac off the books this summer.

He is not going to play regularly in North London. And Arsenal would clearly benefit from moving his £100,000-a-week wages on.

But it is surely a boost that a number of clubs are keen. That must increase the likelihood of Arsenal receiving a good fee for the full-back.

If clubs are seriously interested, they may remain in the running should something of a bidding war break out.

Obviously the Gunners may not be expecting an eye-watering fee for Kolasinac.

But they look to have big plans this summer. So every fee coming in will be very welcome.
