Arsenal fans will be extremely excited about the prospect of Mikel Arteta’s side signing a new striker this summer, amid claims that a goalscorer is at the top of their wishlist.
Of course, the Gunners have been absolutely lethal in front of goal lately, scoring 31 goals in their last seven league games. Nevertheless, according to David Ornstein, signing another striker is the priority for the Premier League title contenders this summer.
And based on previous reports, one of the names on Arsenal’s radar is Alexander Isak. Both Mikel Arteta and Edu are big admirers of the Newcastle United star.
Newcastle eyeing Oleksandr Zinchenko may boost Arsenal hopes of Alexander Isak deal
Alexander Isak has been superb for the Magpies. He has scored 11 goals in 19 Premier League games this season.

Rio Ferdinand suggested that Arsenal should go all out for Isak. But obviously, money may prove to be the biggest stumbling block to a move.
Isak cost Newcastle £63 million when he signed. Meanwhile, Arsenal not signing anyone in the January window hinted that they do have huge sums to spend right now. So the Gunners may have to get slightly creative to find a way to sign Isak.
And perhaps one potential avenue has emerged.
It was reported today that Newcastle now want Oleksandr Zinchenko. Arsenal meanwhile, are open to selling the Ukraine international for £38.5 million.
Selling left-back may make sense for all parties
Arteta has seen some superb performances from Jakub Kiwior of late. Meanwhile, he will also have Takehiro Tomiyasu and Jurrien Timber to call upon for the left-back spot in the future.
So perhaps it may be best for all parties for Zinchenko to be sold this summer, particularly if Arsenal do need to raise funds through player sales.
Newcastle will obviously be reluctant to sell Isak. But if they also need to sell to buy, and they are interested in Zinchenko, perhaps there will be a willingness to get round the negotiating table.
And if Arsenal can use Zinchenko to lower Isak’s asking price, surely that becomes a no-brainer for the Gunners.
