Some Arsenal fans were reacting after the club were linked with a move for Sassuolo’s Manuel Locatelli.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Gunners are ready to make a €40m (£34.4m) offer for the midfielder. The publication claims, however, the ace’s desire is to join Juventus.
Manchester City and Chelsea are also interested in making a move for the Italy international.
Locatelli’s performances helped Sassuolo finish in eighth place in Serie A last season.
His superb club form earned him a spot in Italy’s Euro 2020 squad. He subsequently started his country’s first match against Turkey last Friday evening.
Arsenal are light in midfield with Dani Ceballos having returned to Real Madrid and Granit Xhaka soon to be leaving. The Swiss ace is said to be close to completing a move for Roma.

TBR View: Locatelli move would bring quality to the Arsenal midfield
Last season was a steep learning curve for Mikel Arteta and his squad.
The eighth-place finish in the Premier League was a sign of the lack of quality in the team, especially midfield.
With Xhaka on his way out and Ceballos already having left, numbers are low.
Mohamed Elneny and Thomas Partey are the only two senior players at the heart of the team.
A move for Locatelli would add quality and, more importantly, boost numbers for Arsenal.
