Arsenal are inching ever closer to completing the signing of Manchester City striker, Gabriel Jesus, according to a report from The Telegraph.
The Brazilian striker is Arsenal’s number one attacking target this summer and the Gunners have been hopeful for a while that they are the club for Jesus. The striker is leaving Man City in the hope of becoming the main man somewhere else, after City signed Erling Haaland.
And while there’s been a number of updates this week when it comes to the City striker, The Telegraph has written today how things are closer than ever. In the report, it’s stated how it is now just a matter of time before Arsenal get the deal for Jesus over the line and done.

That news could suggest that the likes of Tottenham and Chelsea have perhaps moved out of the running. Both London clubs were said to be keen on Jesus, who has said little in the past few weeks to fuel or dispel rumours.
Arsenal have already been active this summer and only last week spent £34m on Fabio Vieira. They’ve also signed Matt Turner to back up Aaron Ramsdale, and are hopeful of more signings.
TBR’s View: Gabriel Jesus To Arsenal Is Like Its Own Saga
This one hasn’t half dragged on a bit now but it does seem the Gunners are getting there.
Edu will be desperate to get this one closed off. Jesus is the man all Arsenal fans want to see arrive and he could genuinely be a huge difference maker for the club.
The ‘world-class‘ striker is just what they need and his habit of winning with City should bode well for this young Arsenal team. Obviously, his footballing ability needs no introduction.
Will this be the weekend that Arsenal finally land Jesus, then? Gunners fans will be hoping so.
