Arsenal are once again in talks to sign Aaron Ramsdale, according to reports.

And football.london claims the Gunners might be able to land the 23-year-old for an initial £20million.

Talks between Arsenal and Sheffield United reportedly broke down last week over the fee.

The Blades apparently value Ramsdale at £30million, but the Gunners weren’t prepared to go that high.

However, football.london now claims United are “keen on recouping a transfer fee for Ramsdale this summer”.

The outlet adds that “a deal (is) now more likely than ever to happen”.

A deal could be reached for £20million, with achievable add-ons increasing the eventual fee, added the report.

Arsenal reportedly had two previous offers rejected for Ramsdale following his return from Euro 2020 duty with England.

Can Arsenal sign player tipped to become “one of the best” keepers in England?

Ramsdale played in all 38 Premier League games for United last season, but couldn’t prevent them from suffering relegation.

He was the Blades’ player of the season despite the club dropping into the Championship.

The same was the case in Ramsdale’s final season at Bournemouth in 2019-20, when the Cherries fell into the second tier.

His efforts saw him make England’s Euro 2020 squad, Gareth Southgate’s charges reaching the final.

Asmir Begovic has backed his former Bournemouth teammate to star in the Premier League for years to come.

The Everton goalkeeper told talkSPORT last month: “He can become one of the best, especially in the country.

“He’s already proved that he can play at the highest level. He’s got a lot of potential still to fulfil.

“The more he plays, the more he’s going to progress.

“With his age, where he’s at, the potential is there to become an even better goalkeeper.”
