Arsenal are not particularly known for a faith in youth under Mikel Arteta but that could change as the Spaniard looks to bring in depth come this summer’s transfer window – and a Turkish teen is targeted.
The Gunners have plenty of options in attack. Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz and more. While the Gunners are equipped with young players, not stars for the future.
Not players that are still in their teens, who you can truly describe as wonderkids. Arsenal are expected to reshuffle somewhat in the final third this summer. Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson are linked with an exit.
It might be an approach that Arsenal and Arteta takes in the summer, bringing in a few teenagers that have already shown they are good enough for the first team. One name, is Besiktas striker Semih Kilicsoy.

Arsenal watching Besiktas teen Semih Kilicsoy ahead of summer
A report from Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla claims that Arsenal have been scouting Kilicsoy in recent weeks, alongside Napoli talent spotters. The 18-year-old Besiktas talent has 10 goals in 27 this term.
Before this season, the Turkish ace had only played four games for Besiktas at senior level – but he has truly been a revelation. It comes after earlier reports said that Tottenham and Aston Villa were interested.
A player that has been likened to Sergio Aguero by those at Besiktas, Kilicsoy is an exciting attacker that can play anywhere across the front three. Naturally a striker, but Kilicsoy is able to play from either flank.
Some reports state that Besiktas have already set their asking price for the young attacker, requesting a fee of £22m for his signature ahead of the summer window. He has a contract until the summer of 2028.

It might take a while, but Kilicsoy can replace Jesus for Arsenal
For Brazil star Jesus, it has been a frustrating season. A few niggling injuries, just eight goals in 26 games. He has lost his place in Arsenal’s starting XI to Kai Havertz – and will turn 27 next month. He may move.
He may feel that entering his peak years, he will not want to be sitting on the Arsenal bench – something he left Manchester City for. Arsenal will be in the market for a goal machine, perhaps a Victor Osimhen.
That will see Jesus fall down the pecking order. Rather than bringing in a player just to sit on the bench, maybe it makes more sense to sign a young player like Kilicsoy who can grow to be a useful weapon.
Is he worth the £22m price tag? Is his comparison to Aguero premature? The latter, certainly. But Kilicsoy has a huge talent and Arsenal should really consider taking advantage of that, in the summer.
