Arsenal are one of the teams to have asked about Fluminense teenager Matheus Reis after holding talks with the Brazilian side about midfielder Andre.
That is according to a report from Calciomercatio, which notes that Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool have also registered an interest in the 16-year-old.
Arsenal ask about Matheus Reis
Matheus Reis looks set to be a name that we hear a lot more about in the years to come. The Brazil under-17 international is already working with the Fluminenese first-team. And he is now attracting a lot of attention.

Arsenal are one of the side who already appear to be in contact with Fluminense. Reports from Talking Transfers claimed that Edu has personally scouted midfielder Andre.
It appears that Fulham may now be leading the race for Andre. However, there are a host of Premier League sides who are now keeping an eye on another player on the club’s books.
According to Calciomercato, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea have all asked about Reis. His contract includes a £43.75 million release clause. And it is suggested that that has put off his admirers in the Premier League.
What will excite Arsenal fans in particular is that the report notes that he is considered a mix between Gabriel Jesus and Marcos Leonardo. Leonardo is wanted by the likes of Newcastle and Real Madrid.
Gunners hoping to add another exciting Brazilian talent to their ranks
Arsenal, of course, already boast an impressive contingent of Portuguese-speaking players. And one of their most impressive signings in recent years was the purchase of Gabriel Martinelli.
Obviously, it is going to be incredibly difficult to find another Martinelli. But it says a lot that almost all of the Premier League heavyweights have their eye on Reis.
It will be very interesting to see how Reis’ future plays out in the coming years with so much interest in his signature already.
