Arsenal fans react as Liverpool and Tuchel eye Premier League star, want him at the Emirates
Liverpool, Chelsea and Everton are all reportedly keen on signing Newcastle’s Allan Saint-Maximin – and Arsenal fans have reacted.
The Gunners are finally beginning to turn the corner. Edu was much criticised for his signings in the summer, but they are starting to turn good.
On Sunday, the combination of new signings Aaron Ramsdale, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White in defence were superb. Arsenal easily on 3-1.
Now, the Gunners are looking for an addition out wide. Saint-Maximin, 24, has emerged as an option for numerous Premier League sides.
CalcioMercato say Thomas Tuchel, Rafa Benitez and Jurgen Klopp are all keen on the winger. The Frenchman is on fire at the moment.
In six games, Saint-Maximin has had a hand in five goals. Scoring twice, he has laid on three assists – in a side that are struggling to find the net.
Saint-Maximin race: Arsenal fans react as Newcastle star on agenda
Saint-Maximin, clearly, is a player that is beginning to outgrow his current side. He is far better than the Toon players he is playing alongside.
At just 24, he is shining in England’s top tier and if a big club came in for him in January or next summer – you would expect he would depart.
Liverpool need cover for Mo Salah and Sadio Mane. Everton could do with more fire power, while Chelsea have the money for a player of his quality.
Responding on Twitter, Arsenal fans have discussed reports that three Premier League clubs want to sign Newcastle star Saint-Maximin.
